Ted Staunton's wit and sense of humour shine through in this novel and I really liked how the senior citizens is the book are very powerful even though they are physically weak from age.  I related to Spencer immediately and I think that my students in grade 8 will to.  I also liked the way he scripted some of the story like William Bell's book, Only in the Movies.  It did not distract from the story at all.  The story linked well to Scrimger's Ink Me.
